Overview
A Simple Todo App That Stays Out of Your Way
TheUndo is a simple todo app for people who want to get tasks out of their head and onto a list — without building and maintaining a complicated productivity system to do it.
Type a task the way you would say it, and TheUndo sorts out the date, the project and the priority. No boards to configure, no workflow to design — just a list you can trust.

The overhead problem
Simple task management without the overhead
Most task managers start simple and slowly turn into a second job. You set up areas, tags, custom fields and views. You groom the backlog. You end up spending more time tending the system than doing the things inside it.
TheUndo keeps the moving parts to a minimum on purpose. There is one list. A task can have a note, a priority, a status, a due date and a reminder — and that is the whole model. You can group related tasks into a project when it helps, but you are never required to.
There is nothing to configure before you can add your first task. Open the app, type what you need to do, and it is on the list.

Use cases
Built for everyday tasks
TheUndo is a general-purpose to-do app. If it belongs on a list, it belongs here.
Personal tasks
“Book a dentist appointment”, “call Mum on Sunday”, “water the plants every Tuesday”. The repeating ones only need setting up once.
Work
Keep your own work items in one place — “send the report Friday, high”, “follow up with the supplier” — under a #Work project so they stay together.
Side projects
Give a side project its own project in TheUndo and drop tasks in as they come up, without standing up a whole planning tool.
Things to remember
“Renew passport next month”, “cancel the trial in six days”. A due date and a reminder mean you do not have to keep it in your head.
The case for simple
Why keep your todo app simple?
The job of a to-do app is to get a task out of your head quickly, so you can stop carrying it around. Anything that slows down that capture — choosing a list, picking tags, filling in fields — is friction between you and a clear head.
A smaller feature set means fewer decisions every time you add something. There is no “which view does this go in?” or “do I need a new area for this?” You type the task and move on.
Less structure also means less to maintain. Elaborate setups need grooming — archiving, re-filing, reorganising — and when that upkeep slips, the whole list stops feeling trustworthy. A short, honest list stays trustworthy because there is nothing to keep tidy.
Staying simple is a deliberate choice in TheUndo. You can capture a task quickly, add the details that actually matter, and organize related tasks into projects when you need to. The goal isn’t to give you another productivity system to maintain — it’s to give you a dependable place for the things you need to do.
FAQ
Simple todo app questions
What is a simple todo app?
A simple todo app is a task list that focuses on capturing and completing tasks, without the extra layers — custom workflows, nested databases, dashboards — that turn a to-do list into a system you have to manage. You add a task, you do it, you check it off.
Who is TheUndo for?
People who want a dependable list for everyday tasks — personal, work and side projects — and who would rather not spend time configuring and maintaining a productivity setup. If you have bounced off heavier task managers, TheUndo is deliberately smaller.
Can I organize tasks into projects?
Yes. You can group related tasks into a project, and each task can also carry a priority, a status, a due date and a reminder. The free plan includes up to three projects; unlimited projects are part of Pro.
Is TheUndo available yet?
