undo (“undo”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the undo website, join our waitlist, or use the undo application.
1. Information We Collect
Waitlist Email
If you join the undo waitlist, we collect the email address you provide.
We use your email address to manage the waitlist and communicate with you about undo, including launch announcements, early-access information, and relevant product updates.
Our waitlist and email communications are managed using Buttondown. Your email address is therefore processed by Buttondown on our behalf and may be subject to Buttondown's privacy and data-processing practices.
We do not sell your email address or use it for unrelated advertising.
You can unsubscribe from email communications at any time using the unsubscribe link included in our emails.
2. Tasks and Local Storage
undo is designed to store your task data locally on your device using browser storage technologies such as localStorage.
Your locally stored tasks are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Because this information is stored in your browser, clearing your browser data, using certain privacy settings, uninstalling the application, or changing devices may result in the loss of your locally stored tasks.
3. Notifications
undo may request permission to send notifications so that you can receive task reminders.
Notification permission is controlled by your browser, device, or operating system. You may deny or revoke this permission at any time through your browser or device settings.
We do not use notification permission for advertising or unrelated marketing.
4. Microphone and Speech Recognition
undo may request access to your device's microphone to allow you to add tasks using your voice.
When you choose to use this feature, microphone audio is captured temporarily and sent to your device's or platform's speech-recognition provider, such as Google on Android or Apple on iOS, for the purpose of converting your speech into text.
The resulting text is used to create the task you requested.
undo does not store or retain your microphone audio on our servers. Processing performed by your device's speech-recognition provider may be subject to that provider's own privacy policy and data-processing practices.
Microphone access is optional and occurs only after you grant permission. You can deny or revoke microphone permission through your browser or device settings. If microphone access is disabled, you can continue to create tasks manually.
5. Analytics and Tracking
We currently do not use analytics or behavioral tracking tools on the undo website or application.
If we introduce analytics, advertising, or other tracking technologies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, request appropriate consent.
6. Cookies
undo does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.
Basic browser storage may be used where necessary for application functionality, including storing tasks and preferences locally on your device.
7. Third-Party Services
We currently rely on limited third-party services to provide certain functionality.
Buttondown is used to manage our waitlist and email communications.
Your device, browser, or operating system's speech-recognition provider may process microphone audio when you choose to use voice input.
These third-party services have their own privacy policies and may process information according to their respective terms.
8. Data Retention
Waitlist email addresses are retained for as long as necessary to manage the undo waitlist and related communications, or until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
Task data stored locally by undo remains on your device until you delete it, clear your browser storage, or otherwise remove the application's locally stored data.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, including if you are located in the European Economic Area, you may have rights regarding your personal data.
These may include the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, as well as the right to withdraw consent or object to certain processing.

10. Children's Privacy
undo is not specifically directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children where parental consent would be legally required.

11. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect personal information processed through undo.
However, no internet-based service or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as undo develops or as our data practices change.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or other appropriate means.
